About the Artist<\/h4>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Deanna Pizzitelli (Toronto, 1987) is a Canadian artist based in Bratislava. She studied at Toronto Metropolitan University in Canada (BFA) and the University of Arizona in the United States (MFA).<\/p>

Working with analogue photographic processes, she explores the elusive nature of affect and the fundamental role that feelings of uncertainty play in our lives. She has held solo exhibitions at SALUT AU MONDE! (PT), Galeria IMAGO Lisboa (PT), and Stephen Bulger Gallery (CA).<\/p>

Her project Ko\u017ea, Women & Other Stories<\/em> was selected as one of ten projects for the Les Rencontres d\u2019Arles: Louis Roederer Discovery Award 2020 (FR). She was also selected for the Jury\u2019s Choice of the Prix Virginia 2020 (FR). As a recipient of the 2018 Scotiabank New Generation Photography Award (CA), she exhibited at the National Gallery of Canada and OCAD U\u2019s Onsite Gallery.<\/p>

Pizzitelli is represented by Stephen Bulger Gallery in Canada, and her work is in the collections of the Archive of Modern Conflict (UK), Center for Creative Photography (USA), and Archive 192 (CA).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
