Zahorie Gallery of Jan Mudroch in Senica
The video projection ISOLATION (2014) by visual artist Juraj Dudáš (b. 1975, Trnava) has become a bit more up-to-date in the context of recent events. The graduate from the Prague Academy of Fine Arts (Prof. Milan Knížák) presented it for the first time at the exhibition TOGETHER / EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF in the Synagogue – Centre for Contemporary Art of the Ján Koniarek Gallery in Trnava in May 2014.
It is based on the notion of isolation that can lead to frustration. Subsequently, the concepts are developed in the form of the graph showing the relation between causes and (non) direct consequences. From psychological to social, physical, political deprivation …. with the possibility of interpreting ad infinitum. The artist presents it on the website in a reduced 30-second version.
In 2020, Juraj Dudáš was to present a new installation in the chapel of the Ján Mudroch Gallery in Záhorie. As a result of current events, the project has been postponed indefinitely.
