Open call for artists and curators
Open call of the Zahorie Gallery of Jan Mudroch in Senica (ZGJM) offers exhibition space for the projects of Slovak and foreign artists and curators. The call is intended exclusively for professional artists or graduates from fine art academies, providing that each project has a curator.
The deadline for applications is always 30 September. The following month, the projects are presented to the expert exhibition committee of the ZGJM, which evaluates them in the context of dramaturgy and recommends a particular project to the exhibition plan for the following calendar year.
Applications for inclusion in the exhibition plan must include:
- completed application form – exhibition application
- CV and a list of completed projects
- concept and ideological framework of the submitted project in writing
- portfolio or an attached image reflecting the work of the applicant
- description of the technical and design requirements and estimated budget
ZGJM currently has one exhibition space available for the present call. It reflects the needs of leading Slovak artists with regard to the regional context, the young generation of emerging artists as well as the presentation of selected visual artists from abroad. The long-term plan is to record the development and transformations of framed pictures, new media and spatial objects overlapping with design. In addition to the exhibition space, the ZGJM will provide technical equipment, assistance in staging the exhibition, transportation of works and PR.
